SAVE THE DATE FOR THIS YEAR’S ART NIGHTS – FAMILY ART NIGHT ON AUGUST 21 & ART NIGHT ON MARCH 28!!
Family Art Night, Tuesday, August 21st, Immediately following the PTA meeting at 6pm
Students and parents will work together to paint their own unique rock. The completed rocks will be used as the art piece that ties in with a literacy project in grades kindergarten through second and a guidance project in grades three through five. Please contact Mrs. Hobby at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to help or if you have any questions.
Student Art Night, March 28th
This is a very special evening hosted by the PTA and Mrs. Hobby, our illustrious art teacher. Budding artists (all students) from Kindergarten through 5th Grade will have one work of art framed and on display in the “Bobcat Gallery” located on the covered court. The evening feels as if you have stepped into a first class art gallery with unique works of art on display, music playing and a special visit from our Black Belt recorder students. The 5th Graders will sell light snacks and baked goods.
Please check the Calendar of Events for this year’s Art Night date. Students’ framed art can be purchased for $25 on the night of the event. If you choose not to purchase the frame, your student’s original work of art will be returned 3 weeks after the show.
A portion of the proceeds supports the Mitchell Elementary Art Program.
