If you have a 5th Grade student in their final year at Mitchell Elementary, there are many exciting and memorable events in store, some of which include:
- Special Mitchell T-shirt with all 5th graders’ names listed
- 5th Grade Memory Book – A Yearbook for 5th graders that reflects all their years at Mitchell
- 5th Grade Picnic – A time for 5th graders to have fun with friends, a DJ, great food, and games
- 5th Grade Clap Out and Awards Ceremony – This is a special recognition of 5th graders for their hard work and excellence
- 5th Grade Breakfast & Memory Book Signing – All 5th grade classmates attend for fun exchange of yearbook notes
- Legacy Gift – Donated by the exiting 5th grade Class as a “thank you” gift to the school
These events and gifts are given to each 5th Grader at no cost. Therefore, we conduct several 5th Grade fundraising events to help pay for these. Some are offered school-wide and include:
- Skate Nights
- Spirit Nights at local restaurants
- Spirit Days at school (kids wear their favorite or craziest shirt)
- 50/50 Raffle (at the Fall Festival)
- Bake Sale (at the Fall Festival and at Art Night)
- Shout-Out pages in the Memory Book
