VP Volunteers & Membership
Andy and his wife, Kara, are the parents of four past and present Mitchell students: Kayden (14), Ainsley (12), AJ (11), and Avery (9). Andy graduated from North Park University in Chicago, IL with his B.S. in Finance and later earned an Illinois teaching license through Benedictine University with a focus on Business and Computers. Early in his career, Andy worked for a publishing company with responsibilities in finance and purchasing. He later managed a service-based franchise and oversaw all aspects of the business. Since starting a family, Andy has enjoyed his role as a full-time career Dad even while pursuing other interests like volunteer work at church and developing a small household repair business. In his spare time, Andy enjoys spending time with family, snowboarding and playing guitar.
With two daughters at Mitchell, Gabrielle (4th grade) and Griffin (2nd grade), and a son Garrison who is eager to start next year, Amber has loved becoming a part of the Bobcat family! It is with such enthusiasm that she will be serving as the Corresponding Secretary for the 2020-2021 academic year. Amber grew up in Maine and went on to graduate from the University of Connecticut before moving to Florida in 2003. Prior to having children, her career was in marketing and design for a commercial real estate developer. Now, she enjoys spontaneous adventures with her husband and kids, traveling, volunteering, and all things artistic and crafty.
Erin Nitz is the mother to Davis, who is a third grader at Mitchell. She is a Florida native and graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) She was an elementary school teacher for six years until she went back to obtain her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Erin now owns The Speech Center – a private speech and language therapy clinic located in South Tampa. In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her blended family (Davis along with Jack, Mary-8, and Lilly-5), traveling, enjoying the Florida weather at the beach, reading, and shopping!
